Three of our senior sides are in action this weekend. The Reserves are at home, while the Women’s and Veterans return after a short break.
Saturday 12th April
Cranleigh Reserves v Tongham Reserves
Surrey County Intermediate League Premier Reserves Division
Snoxhall, 2pm kick-off
The Reserves are currently fifth in the league and have been on the pace all season. After last week’s disappointing late postponement, the Cranes are looking to fire on.
Ben Horne, Manager, said: “After the frustration of last week, with Staines unable to field a team, we’re looking forward to getting back on the pitch this weekend.
“It’s been a tough season, but with two home games left, we’re determined to finish strong. First up is Tongham Reserves – a well-organised and disciplined side who sit just two places below us in the table. It promises to be a competitive and entertaining match.
“The squad is energised and motivated, with everyone playing for places in the upcoming cup final.”
Sunday 13th April
Milford & Witley v Cranleigh Women
South East Counties Womens Football League Division 1 South
Milford Recreation Ground, 2pm kick off
Manager Nick Bamford said: “With three matches to go in the Surrey Division 1 South, this weekend is a great opportunity to show how far we’ve come as we travel to face Milford & Witley.
“Our previous two encounters this season ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw and a narrow 1-0 defeat, the latter in some of the worst weather conditions we’ve experienced – and with a last-minute goal that broke our hearts. We’re relishing the chance for a third meeting in what’s expected to be much better conditions.
“We’re already planning for the 2025/26 season and look forward to welcoming several of our grassroots players into the senior setup.
“We’re within touching distance of realising the legacy we’ve been building – a complete pathway for female footballers from grassroots through to adult football at Cranleigh FC.”
Old Salesians Veterans v Cranleigh Veterans
Farnham & District Sunday Football League Division 3
Salesian College Sports Ground, 10.30am kick off
The Veterans are back in action, away to Old Salesians and looking to get back to winning ways.
