Cranleigh FC is delighted to announce the signing of Adam Bicknell, known as “Bickers,” as the latest addition to the squad. He will go straight into the team for the crucial cup quarter-final against Addlestone.
Bickers brings a wealth of experience at this level, having recently played for Dial Square. Prior to that, he had successful spells at Knaphill, Shottermill, and Guildford United, where he not only formed a lethal strike partnership with Cranleigh joint manager Sam Carpenter but also broke the league record for most goals in a season.
A statement signing for Cranleigh’s ambitions
Joint manager Sam Carpenter shared his excitement about securing Bickers: “I’ve known Bickers personally for years and have mentioned on occasion what we’re doing here at Cranleigh and where we want to go. I didn’t think for a moment he’d look to make the switch, but I’m really pleased he has. It speaks volumes that he’s potentially giving up a league medal to join us. Adding someone with his desire and experience at this stage of the season gives everyone a real lift, and I’m buzzing to see him get started.”
Bickers’ arrival is a huge boost as Cranleigh pushes forward with its ambitious plans. His goal-scoring ability, leadership, and winning mentality will undoubtedly strengthen the squad heading into this crucial phase of the season.
