In a sun-soaked clash at the Bruce McKenzie Memorial Field, Cranleigh’s U14 Cobras took on the U15 Tigers in an end-to-end contest that ultimately saw the Cobras take their chances and secure a commanding 8-0 victory.

Both teams created early opportunities, but neither side could convert in the opening exchanges. As the first half progressed, the Cobras found their rhythm and soon broke the deadlock. Their confidence grew, and by half-time, they had established a solid 4-0 lead, thanks to clinical finishing.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with both teams looking to push forward at every opportunity. The Tigers had a golden chance to reduce the deficit, but Cobras’ keeper Seb made a fantastic diving save to his left, keeping his clean sheet intact.

Four more goals followed for the Cobras, although the final 8-0 scoreline didn’t fully reflect the competitive nature of the game. Credit is due to the Tigers’ keeper, who made several great saves to deny the relentless Cobras attack.

While the Cobras came away with an emphatic win, both teams played with determination and spirit, making for an entertaining contest.
