This top of the table clash didn’t disappoint. After an even first 30 minutes, Cranleigh broke the deadlock with a well taken Ryan Taiani strike and the home team held on to half time . As you would expect from one of the best teams in the Division, Chesworth fought back with a well earned equaliser just 10 minutes into the second half. A blistering spell of football with 3 goals in just 15 minutes (including a superb 25 yard strike) saw the visitors pull clear a pile on the pressure. A well taken Cranleigh second from the ever industrious skipper Harry Nicholas rallied the home team, but despite the ball being constantly in the opposition half throughout the last 10 minutes, Cranleigh couldn’t break down a well marshalled Chesworth defence.
