2nd Round County Cup
It was a crisp, clear morning at Victoria Playing fields when Cranleigh kicked off. Play was evenly matched at first, but Cranleigh began to dominate, increasing the pressure. After fifteen minutes, Gwilym moved down the right, passing to Raul who assisted the first goal by Ollie.
Play continued to be controlled by Cranleigh, but a through ball led to a run by Chertsey who knocked it in to the bottom corner. They had one more opportunity with the ball running close to the goal line, but this was saved by Jake and knocked clear by Dom. At half time the score was 1-1.
In the second half Chertsey kicked off, but a quick a quick breakaway from Raul bought an immediate second goal. This rapid lead inspired the team and they played to their full. At final whistle the score was 6-1 with goals from Ollie, Arthur and Harry, and a hat-trick from Raul.
