Cranleigh Reserves Manager Ben Horne is looking forward to the Premier Reserves Cup later this month, but first there is a job to do at the last league game of the season, and he’s not letting his side get carried away.

This Saturday marks our final league game of the season as we welcome Lightwater United to Snoxhall for a 2pm kick-off. It’s the last dance of what’s been a rollercoaster season for the Reserves – one full of lessons, grit, and no shortage of team spirit.

Lightwater may sit four places below us, but they’re never a side to underestimate. They always bring energy and fight, so we know we’ll need to be sharp from the first whistle if we want to end on a high. That said, the mood in camp is buzzing after a confident and professional win over Tongham last weekend. The lads are fired up and ready to give everything to lock in 4th place.

It’s been a season of ups and downs – patches of inconsistency and missed opportunities, yes – but also resilience, development, and some big performances when it mattered. The aim now is to finish with a bang and carry that momentum into the Cup Final later this month.

With both the Firsts and the Reserves at home across Glebelands and Snoxhall this Saturday, it’s a great chance to come down and support the club. Let’s get behind the lads and finish the league campaign the way it deserves – loud, proud, and together.

See you there!

Ben Horne
