Cranleigh Reserves are gearing up for a massive test this weekend as they face Worplesdon Phoenix Reserves in the semi-final of the Surrey Intermediate Reserve League Cup. Kick-off is at 14:00 at the Worplesdon Memorial Ground (GU3 3RF).
It’s a repeat of last year’s final and a chance for Cranleigh to settle the score against one of the league’s standout sides. Worplesdon are flying high this season, but the lads have been putting in the hard yards on the training pitch and are ready to rise to the occasion.
Ben Horne, Cranleigh Reserves’ Manager, said: “The lads have been working hard in training, and we’re ready for the challenge. Worplesdon are a strong side, but we’ve prepared well, and the team is in good shape. It’s a massive opportunity to reach the final, and I know the boys will give everything out there. The support from the fans will be huge, we’d love to see as many Cranleigh supporters as possible on the sidelines to help push us over the line.”
This is a huge moment for the team, and every bit of support matters. If you can make it down to Worplesdon, the lads would massively appreciate it. Your backing from the touchline could make all the difference as they push for a place in the final.
Let’s get behind the boys and make some noise, this could be a defining moment in the season. Come on you Cranes!
