Top-of-the-table Oxted & District claimed all three points in a dominant display against Cranleigh Women, securing a 6-0 victory. From the kickoff, Oxted’s slick passing and movement threatened the Cranleigh defence, but sheer grit and determination kept the league leaders at bay for much of the first half.

Fixtures & Results

It wasn’t until the 42nd minute that Oxted finally broke the deadlock, and they added a second goal just before the half-time whistle, going into the break 2-0 up.

Despite the scoreline, Cranleigh showed resilience throughout, even without some key senior players. Although opportunities were limited, Cranleigh managed to put together some of their own passing moves, though these moments were only sporadic.

League table

Oxted extended their lead with four more goals in the second half, handing Cranleigh their heaviest defeat of the season so far. However, this was a marked improvement from the larger margin experienced against the same opponents last season.
