How long have you been with Cranleigh FC, and what brought you to the club?
I am fairly new to the club, having joined two years ago. I used to play with another First Team player back at university and used to watch Cranleigh play when I came to visit. When I moved to the South, joining Cranleigh FC was an easy choice to make.
What do you love most about representing Cranleigh FC?
Every time I’ve come down to visit Cranleigh I’ve always felt welcomed, and this continued once I joined the football team.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in football?
Give 100% effort no matter what and always do the basics right. It doesn’t matter who you’re playing against; play with confidence and make sure they know you’re there!
Which professional footballer, past or present, do you admire and why?
For me there are two stand-out players. Firstly, David Beckham with his “never give up” attitude: he always kept going and worked hard! Secondly, Michael Carrick; he always did the simple things exceptionally well and really lead by example.
What advice would you give to younger players on becoming better footballers?
Listen to experience. Take on as much information as you can and try to put it into practice on the pitch. Never give up and always give 100% effort.
