How long have you been with Cranleigh FC, and what brought you to the club?
I have been playing for Cranleigh FC for over ten years now. The standard of football and facilities both attracted me initially, with the club’s ethos and culture aligning with my own values.
What do you love most about representing Cranleigh FC?
Since joining Cranleigh FC I have become part of a tight-knit community of players, supporters and coaches. I love that I have been able to contribute to the club’s history as well as it’s future, and I feel passionate about being able to leave a lasting impact to inspire future generations of players.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in football?
No matter what happens on the pitch, enjoy being part of the team and helping each other!
Which professional footballer, past or present, do you admire and why?
Without question, Eric Cantona! With exceptional ball control, vision, and passing skills; his technical mastery allowed him to execute difficult plays with ease, from creative through-balls to precise finishing. Cantona had a commanding presence on the field, both as a player and a leader. Cantona was known for his competitive spirit and fierce will to win. He had a strong mentality, which was crucial in his ability to deliver in critical moments. In short, Cantona’s combination of technical skill, leadership, mental strength, and flair made him one of the greatest and most influential players of his era.
What advice would you give to younger players on becoming better footballers?
Watch and Learn: Study professional players and teams. Analyse their techniques, movement, and tactical awareness. You can pick up valuable insights by watching the pros.
Be Coachable: Listen to feedback, be open to learning, and always seek to improve. The best players grow by taking advice and applying it effectively.
