Semi FinalThe last time we played at Dorking we lost 5-1 and were 4-0 down after 20 minutes so we were hoping to do much better this time. Literally straight fom the kick off we were 1-0 down with the Cranleigh team asleep as Dorking went forward to score. Cranleigh seemed stunned and were second best for the next 10-15 minutes. A great pass by Ethan Payne set up Dylan Bishop who saw his effort saved. Another chance for Cranleigh as a Jack Rogers cross was met by Sullivan Howick but again saved by their keeper. With Cranleigh starting to get into the game we forced a corner which was headed goal bound by Dylan only to it headed off the line. The half finished 1-0 but we really believed we could push on to win especially as we finished the half stronger.Unbelievably as the second half started Cranleigh were again asleep as Dorking broke through to score again 2-0 down. At 2-0 down it was time for the team to show some fight and heart. It was decided to bring on Jackson Stones for Jack Rogers and see what fresh legs could do. Some times in life a decision pays off and this time it really did as Jackson collected the ball, spun and hit the top corner from the edge of the area 2-1. Cranleigh started to control the game and we started to get a hold of the midfield. Leo Lord had been pushed up front to cause some havoc and he won the ball before sliding it through to Sullivan Howick who beat the keeper 1v1 to put us level 2-2. Game on now as Cranleigh pushed for the win. Late on in the half and a fair tackle by Archie Burge brought a reaction from the Dorking player who pushed Archie then grabbed him and started throwing punches.Although not the right thing to do I could hardly blame Archie as he reacted by punching back in self defence. As coaches and players broke it up the ref had no option but to red card both players which was the right decision. The game was to be played 10 v10 for the last 7 minutes . With 2 minutes to go and panalties looming Isaac Denton Miller dived full length to finger tip the ball past the post to keep us in the game.
