How long have you been with Cranleigh FC, and what brought you to the club?
I joined in January 2022. Having played football as a kid and young adult, I saw that a team had started in Cranleigh. As soon as I was able to after having my second child, I signed up.
What do you love most about representing Cranleigh FC?
The Women’s team is a lovely, mixed group of players who love to play football but also enjoy having fun. It also feels great to represent the village and to show my boys that girls and women play football too.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in football?
Stay on your toes and never give up!
Which famous footballer do you admire and why?
Eric Cantona. I grew up during Manchester United’s glory days, and his passion, flair, and skill were mesmerising—even if he did overdo things at times! I also have a signed birthday card from him.
What advice would you give to younger players on becoming better footballers?
Practice the basic skills over and over until they become second nature. Always believe in yourself and your teammates, whether in victory or defeat.
