Cranleigh FC Women produced a determined and disciplined performance to bounce back from last week’s heavy defeat against Ash United, frustrating second-placed Oxted & District Ladies in a tightly contested match.

Oxted, no doubt expecting a comfortable victory, were met with a well-organised and resolute Cranleigh side that executed their defensive game plan superbly. For large portions of the match, Cranleigh absorbed pressure but remained compact, disciplined, and committed in their defensive duties.

Despite spending much of the game soaking up Oxted’s attacks, Cranleigh were a constant threat on the counter and created several promising chances. Kelly Brown came agonisingly close to securing a well-earned point with a powerful header from a corner that narrowly missed the post.

While the result didn’t go in Cranleigh’s favour, the team’s resilience and tactical discipline were evident throughout, reinforcing their growing reputation as a side that is difficult to break down.

With just five games remaining, the squad heads into the final stretch of the season with renewed optimism and confidence, as Cranleigh FC Women continue to build towards an exciting future.
