Are you passionate about football and want to take your involvement in the game to the next level? Cranleigh FC is keen to encourage our U15 to U18 players the opportunity to become qualified referees through The FA Referee Course. This is a fantastic chance to gain key skills, increase your knowledge of the game, and help referee grassroots football matches in a safe and effective way.

Who can apply?

The FA Referee Course is open to anyone aged 14 and over who wants to referee mini soccer, 9v9, or 11v11 football. If you’re enthusiastic about learning the laws of the game and want to contribute to local football, this is for you.

What does the course involve?

  • Online learning: Before attending face-to-face training, you’ll need to complete online modules covering the Laws of the Game.
  • Face-to-face training: Once your online learning is completed, you’ll participate in practical, hands-on training to put your knowledge into action.
  • Safeguarding training: You’ll also be required to complete an online safeguarding course to ensure you’re fully prepared.

Key details:

  • Cost: £160 (includes police check and admin fee)
  • Minimum age: 14 years old

This is a great way to develop a deeper understanding of football, boost your confidence, and contribute to the Cranleigh FC community. We’re aiming to reach a stage where youth players are refereeing Cranleigh games across many age groups – and you could be part of that journey.

If you’re interested in getting involved or have any questions, get in touch with us today. Let’s build the next generation of referees together.
