Cranleigh FC Women’s Team played Burgess Hill Town FC Women at Snoxhall today Sunday 11 August
This was a pre-season friendly against very good opposition. Despite our reputation as slow starters we played well for the first 25 minutes without conceding. A flurry of goals though sent us into half time needing to regroup mentally and physically
With temperatures touching 30 degrees it was tough going for both teams and frequent water breaks were the order of the day
A much better second half saw some great defending from the Cranes team restricting Burgess Hill to just two goals
This is a team though that just keeps going regardless of the score. Look at the smiles it tells you all about their character.
